Daniel A. Summers, AIA Managing Principal

Daniel Summers holds a Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida and a Master of Architecture from the University of South Florida. President of BSSW Architects, Dan has served as Principal and lead architect for public safety, education, government, resort and hospitality planning and building design projects throughout Southwest Florida. In addition to his extensive professional experience and award-winning designs, he enjoys giving back to the community by serving on various committees in advisory and leadership roles including many years as a board member of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collier County. Dan’s love of travel has taken him all throughout North America, the Caribbean, and Western Europe. Motivated by an adventurous spirit, he earned both pilot and captain’s licenses to help facilitate spontaneous trips to the Keys and Bahamas with family and friends.

Kevin Williams, AIA Managing Principal

A graduate of the University of Tennessee/Knoxville with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, Kevin’s graduate studies focused on Urban Design & Planning. With more than 35 years of experience in public sector design and project management, Kevin has earned the respect and trust of clients who depend upon his expertise and effective communication. Serving as Principal Architect and Vice President of BSSW Architects, his innovative design style, mostly in government, education, and community related projects, has dramatically impacted the architectural landscape of Southwest Florida. An avid traveler, Kevin has traveled extensively throughout Europe. During his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, including his beloved Labrador and office mascot, Boomer. He also loves spending time boating our local waterways and rooting for his alma mater’s football team, the Tennessee Volunteers.

Bryan Lee, AIA Sr. Project Architect

Bryan Lee’s 20+ years of practice experience includes leadership roles in all phases of the architectural process from master planning through construction. He has a diverse background in architecture, urban design and planning, and has served as principal and lead architect for public safety, education, government, resort and hospitality projects throughout Southwest Florida, Bryan’s dedication to design and service excellence, combined with his technical expertise in Revit®, the industry’s most innovative Building Informational Modeling software, has positioned him as a leader on the BSSW team.

Bryan holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky and has been with BSSW Architects Inc. since he graduated in 2002. Bryan enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He is a University of Kentucky alumni and loves being able to go watch the basketball and football teams play when he can.

Bao Tran Project Designer

Bao Tran’s passion is in contemporary and practical designs. He has over fifteen years’ practice experience in designing commercial and residential projects in Florida, California and Vietnam. Bao specializes in 3D rendering and 3D animation, using Revit®, the industry’s most innovative BIM software. In his spare time, Bao enjoys hiking, camping, and creating new games to play with his son.

David Torres Construction Administrator

David Torres is a Construction Administrator with over 34 years of experience in commercial, education, and municipal design and project management. He oversees the entire construction process, ensuring the work is performed according to plans and completed to our client’s satisfaction. In his spare time, David loves to play golf, and tend to Dudley, his friendly Lhasa Apso, who holds a degree in “Barkitecture”.

Debbie Murtagh Studio Coordinator

Debbie has been with BSSW for more than 30 years and is our Fort Myers Studio Coordinator. She is integral to all office fuctions and is the friendly and welcoming voice of BSSW.

Juan Pena Project Designer

A graduate of Pratt Institute School of Architecture in Brooklyn, Juan Pena gained experience in New York before returning to Southwest Florida and joining BSSW. His background in architecture includes historic, renovation and restoration projects in NYC as well as new residential, commercial, and education projects in Florida. Juan is proficient in Revit®’s Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and is fluent in both English and Spanish. A devoted New York Yankee fan, Juan’s passion is baseball. But his favorite pastime is hanging out with his loved ones, often taking weekend trips with his wife and young daughter.

Laura Sweeting Marketing Director

With a passion for research, strategy, and creativity and a 25+ year background in architectural and construction marketing, Laura is responsible for the firm’s digital and printed collateral. She also leads the firm’s RFQ program, creating qualifications packages that showcase BSSW’s experience and expertise. In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time with her family (human and canine), gardening, kayaking, snorkeling, and hiking the Carolina mountains.

Miguel Goizueta, AIA Senior Project Architect

Miguel Goizueta earned a professional degree in Architecture from ISPJAE, Havana University in Cuba in 1995 and a Bachelor of Architecture from Florida Atlantic University in 2002. Additionally, he holds a Historic Preservation Certification from Complutense University of Madrid. He is recognized for the extraordinary personal commitment he brings to each project along with his deep understanding of the commercial, public safety and communal interests that shape the built environment. In addition to architecture and design, Miguel loves to spend time playing soccer, bike riding, and kayaking.

Nicole Grant Business Manager

As Business Manager, Nicole is responsible for the firm’s accounting functions and human resources management. Nicole prepares financial statements, budgets, and reports required by regulatory agencies, and ensures compliance with state and federal employment laws. When she’s not crunching numbers, Nicole enjoys spending time with family, visiting our beautiful beaches, and attending outdoor sporting events, concerts, and festivals.

Oscar Prieto, AIA Project Architect

Oscar Prieto has strong technical capabilities and experience using Building Informational Modeling, Graphic Design and Photorealistic Rendering software. He has worked as a project manager and architectural designer on government, education, historic preservation, resort/hospitality, and high-end residential projects throughout South Florida and Cuba. When not at work, he fills most of his time with his wife and children. A huge soccer fan, he also enjoys photography, traveling and paddleboarding.

Noberto Gagza Graduate Architect/Project Designer

Norberto graduated from the University of South Florida’s School of Architecture and Community Design in Tampa with a Master of Architecture degree, where he acquired a passion for contemporary and vernacular architecture. In addition to Architecture, his experience includes wood working and CNC fabrication.

Ronald Weaver, AIA Principal Architect – Emeritus

A founding partner of the firm started in 1980, Ronald Weaver earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Ohio State University. In addition to beautiful historic renovations and additions, his portfolio includes an impressive array of new development designs. Ron has extensive development design experience on numerous projects for some of Southwest Florida’s major developers. His business leadership and community service are well known and appreciated in the Southwest Florida community.
